Well, on to Big Red Football.........if anyone is still reading the sports........Would like your imput on Q being dismissed from the team and how bad, if any, it will hurt the team. Also, where are you picking the Big Red to finish in the North, and Nationally?

My personal opinion is that they will end up 2nd in the North, with Kansas winning it and probably no better than 24th in the National polls.

I think they have alot of question marks, this year. Maybe it will all pan out, but think we might be over rating them a bit.

Alot of new faces. Some of it they can work out in the first couple of easy games, but don't know if that is enough time.

Let's hear your prediction on the score of the first game, with Florida Atlantic and who will be the player of the game?

I will say Nebraska 28-7 and Zac Lee will be player of the game!!!

Lawman - Wednesday, August 26 2009 at 4:58pm

And how do you think the Nebraska Volleyball team will do against Michigan and Minnesota in the Runza/AVA showcase.

The gals are rated 3rd in pre-season and I predict they will be 2-0 after the Showcase. They are once again going to be fun to watch!!!

Well, I blew that one...They last the VB team lost the first time out of the chute. But, you can tell they have some good talent, and I am sure they will get much better as the season developes.

Lawman,

VB and FB have alot of young talent...give the VB time. FB looked good today. nect week will be tougher. Glad to see Joe Ganz on the sideline, sure would like him to become a grad coach here.
Good game overall. OU got beat...

Tincan,

You are right, they sure do have alot of young talent. The VB team won 3 over the weekend in a tournament at LSU, and I thought the FB looked pretty good yesterday for the first game out of the chute. I was really impressed with Lee, Helu, Burkhead and Green. The last two, show that these coaches can recruit, contary to what some say!
Would be nice to see Ganz there all the time, but I think he still has pro football on his mind. I was surprised that OU got beat, but BYU played well, and I think they would have won, even if Bradford had played the whole games.

Hi Guys,
Anybody wants to submit video of a game, bring it on! We'll provide the camera, you provide the legwork! It will give us something other than those old baseball pictures to watch!

Don't know if you read Watson's comments about Ganz, sounds like he will be a coach here at NU. He will have to wait until next year.

I hope that they don't bring Green in and replace Lee. Lee has earned the right to start for two years. He is also a good football player. It will have to be up to Lee to lose the job by poor perfomance, and I don't see him doing that. Same goes for Helu and Burhead.

Anytime OU looses, is a good day..Like you I surprised, think OU thought that they could not get beat, well surprise, they are beatable.

tincan - Sunday, September 20 2009 at 12:41am

what a tough loss for Nebr. I do beleave the offence lost the game, they had oppertunities and did not take advantage of them.

Lawman - Sunday, September 20 2009 at 4:16pm

There is no doubt the offense lost the game. Twice on the 5 yard line and couldn't get a TD. I am not sure that Lee is up to the task against good teams. Guess we will find out.

tincan - Monday, September 28 2009 at 12:58am

I am willing to give Lee the time....what other option is there...Green is not ready..
Also the O line did not do their job, they have to get their act together....As you know
how the line goes, is how the qb goes..

Lawman - Friday, October 30 2009 at 2:16pm

Are we going to see Green tomorrow????

huskerfan09 - Thursday, November 5 2009 at 10:00pm

Thank goodness they've finally given Green some time! I was getting so fed up with Lee.....yes, he'd have great plays every now and then, but there seemed to be more bad than good with him. Maybe a mixture of both is best.....we'll see this weekend!!

Lawman - Friday, November 6 2009 at 11:00am

It will be interesting to see if Watson will turn Green loose tommorrow to see what he can do. I thought they really held him back against Baylor.

Lawman - Wednesday, November 25 2009 at 2:18pm
