The Obligatory School Board MeetingHeres the obligatory Ord School Board Meeting. Lots of red meat in this for both the Pro and Anti School Bond folks. Just a thought, why aren't there competetive bids and different plans for the board to vote on? This is the same bunch whose bond failed the last time it came up to a vote. Is there only one architect and one builder in the entire state of Nebraska? Why will there be bleachers and a concession stand in the New Gym if its really just a "Practice" Gym? Hmmmmmm. Video #4 is a good one. Ameritas (the bond writing company) is pushing this to the hilt as taxpayers end up paying several million dollars in interest (at least two more million in interest if it is passed as a 25 year bond as opposed to a 20 year bond). One other question: Since when do PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEMS count the students of PRIVATE PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS as STUDENTS of the PUBLIC SYSTEM? Whats next, counting homeschoolers? Would bring the declining numbers up a little...Just a thought.
