School Board Votes to offer Jason Alexander a Contract

In last nights school board meeting the board voted to offer a contract to Jason Alexander to be the new Superintendent at Ord Public Schools. The only no vote was that of Dawn Skibinski. Marty Petska did not vote as he was absent from the meeting. Mr. Alexander did take $16,000.00 less than what the board offered him. If he is this fiscally conservative with his own salary maybe we can weather the next few years of the economic downturn in fair shape. It was an honest gesture and should be treated as such and I would urge the members of our community to give him the chance that the OEA Teachers Union and OurKids1st did not give Mr. Steffensen. 2012 is only a year away...
