North Loup Scotia Community Theatre Presents:The Cotton Patch GospelThe Cotton Patch Gospel is coming to the North Loup Community Center courtesy of the North Loup / Scotia Community Theatre. The Cotton Patch Gospel is a version of Matthew and John by Clarence Jordan in which the Gospel is presented in a setting rural Georgia with courntry music and bluegrass songs, the final and perhaps best work of Harry Chapin. As this gospel begins, they sing that "Somethins' Brewin' in Gainesville." Herod is the mayor of Atlanta and , inevitably, Christ is lynched by local thugs (the KKK) only to rise again. Drama critics loved this show and so did a broad spectrum of religious commentators.(from the back cover of the script) Directed by Sherian Craft the cast includes (in alphabetical order): Amanda Baker, Colin Baker, Evan Baker, Steffan Baker, Jim Craft, Katie Davis, Gabe Davis, Will Davis, Deb Grubl Fuhrer, Rachel H. Fox, Jon Hawley, Jeremiah Knoop, Jody McCoy, Lorie Morse, Andrew Novak, Bruce Phillips, Troy Schauda and Mike Stevens. Stage Crew: Deandra Kaslon, Mary Fox, Gene McCoy, Elizabeth Knoop, LuAnne Schauda, Vivian Patrick, Becky Mattison, Joe Timmons, Katie Mattison, and Nick Lee. Show Times are 7:00 PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday July 15th, 16th and 17th at the North Loup Community Building. Tickets on Sale at Pump and Pantry in North Loup and Ord, Whoa and Go in Scotia or available at the door. Advance tickets are $10.00 and Gate tickets are $12.00.
