Firemen Break Ground for New Station

Local Bids to be Let Out for Construction.

Ords Volunteer Fire Department members broke ground on Wednesday evening in a ceremony attended by local dignitaries, the public, Nebraskas Lt. Governor and State Senator Kate Sullivan. The Lt. Gov., Senator Sullivan and Fire Chief Keith Shellhase spoke on the virtues of the volunteer firemen and the new fire station. On display were all of the fire depts. vehicles in roughly the position they will occupy in the new station. Check out the videos, they tell the tale, and take time to thank the firemen and women for their service to our community.
