FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ord, NE - CARE 5 spokesman Larry Koelling commended the voters of the Ord Public Schools and their active participation in the recent vote on the $9.8 million bond.

We fervently thank CARE 5 financial supporters and volunteers for their effort in getting our message out.

CARE 5 also congratulated the proponents for their successful campaign to convince voters to pass this bond.

The CARE 5 committee remains deeply concerned the economy is heading into a serious depression. This new property tax will have a negative impact on many taxpayers. We could easily see enrollment continue to decline.

We are now seriously concerned for the future of our School District because of the deep division this process has created.

Three out of the three people who administer this site were at the courthouse tonight. Jenette Lindsey and her staff did a fantastic job and were extremely professional in their work. They are to be commended.

My personal opinion having nothing to do with anyone else who works this site is that it will prove to be a pyrrhic victory for Ord.

Now we get to wait and see how long it takes CARE 5 to hire a lawyer and contest the results. Yippee!
