Four men were arrested today in St. Paul in connection with the recent business burglaries in Ord. Large quanties of merchandise, pharmaceuticals, and illegal drugs were seized. It's amazing what good law enforcement officers can do together. Great work guys! WONDERFUL job to all the volunteers who help with the haunted hollow at the Scotia chalk mines. Had a fantastic time, look forward to next years and seeing what you bring into it. Well worth the money!!! CONGRATULATIONS! Munsters - agreed the folks with the Chalk Mine Association do an outstanding job! Will be heading out on the 30th to take part in the fun! What is age appropriate for the chalk mine? teen, pre-teen? Just wanted to put out a BIG, BIG THANK to all the Valley County Veterans and I appreciate their years of service so that we could have the freedoms we have..... Thank you to OPS, the VFW and all the individuals responsible for the Veterans Day program at the Ord High School. You do a great job honoring the vets. Job well done. :) Thankful for the many teachers who taught me how to use the head on my head. Happy Thanksgiving! I am very thankful for the sunshine...wonderful day. Special thanks to the folks's at McD's for being good hosts for Santa Claus. sweetpea - Wednesday, December 9 2009 at 3:55pm Yes sweetpea. A medical fund has been established for Andrew Mihm. A $25.00 initial donation to establish the fund has been made. Any amounts of donations can be made at the First National Bank, 1411 M Street here in Ord by simply designating the deposit is for the benefit of Andrew Mihm Medical Fund. You may donate anonymously by your posting name or your given name, by cash, check or credit card. In the spirit of the season donate as you are moved to do so. Even the smallest amounts, I am sure will help out. I have received a few calls about JJ also of KNLV and of his most recent medical issues. The medical fund for Andrew was in the works prior to JJ's health issues. When Andrew's medical payment needs are met, any and all other funds will be transmitted to JJ as I am sure he maybe facing some financial difficulties too along with his health issues. Get well soon JJ. :) Donations are still being taken for JJ (Johnny James) at the First National Bank, 1411 M Street here in Ord. As most of us already know JJ has suffered a heart attack, and needs our prayers. Also I am sure some financial support. I heard that the benefit for Deb Proskocil went well. Kudos to all the folks who made that happen. Congratulations to Kathy Timmerman on her 1,000,000 miles safety driver award. On this very special day, I wish all mothers a very happy Mother's Day. It was cool to see the grade school kids march around the square for making their reading goals. I felt quite proud that my middle son was a part of the Royal Court. Parents and teachers and the students should be proud of their efforts. My baby was a top ten reader....ditto to last years message. To comment you must be logged in.
