Community Kudos: CommentsI so enjoyed the Wozab Award Videos OrdTalk! Thank you. Thank you to all the local Coop employees for doing a great job this busy planting season. You all rock! Happy Mothers day. CONGRATULATIONS to all the graduating seniors, college and HS. You've done great and you will do great! Good luck to all those, from the surrounding communities and Ord, participating in district track Thurs., you make us all proud. Hats off to Cargill for donating the registration fees for the farm safety day for kids. The second graders did a fine job presenting "Continents". It was a beautiful day. Today is graduation day from OHS. My hope and desire for all is that the process of becoming educated never ends. Also, it is ok to say I really don't understand. Ask for help and advice. Career planning is a never ending process. Sincerest Thanks from the Staff at Ordtalk.com for the warm reception we received last night at the REA monthly meeting. They put us on the agenda and listened attentively while we lined out what Ordtalk is all about and how they may be able to use us to further their agenda. From what we experienced last night, the REA board is what a public board should be, both in action and attitude. Thankyou again from the staff at Ordtalk.com The sincerest of all Thanks to the Boy Scouts and the people responsible for putting up the flags out at the cemetary. The Scouts and their leaders were up at 7:00 am this morning putting up the flags along the four lane and the state flags around the courthouse. These are groups that get little recognition for what they do but make Ord look good. Thanks again from a grateful veteran. I too want to thank the scouts that put up the flags. Thanks to the Ord American Legion and VFW for their outstanding Memorial Day Program at the Cemetary. I knew Cathy Beard pretty much my whole life. We were real good friends. She came up missing on May 31, 1989 she was 31 years old. She was last seen going out the back door of Someplace Else Tavern. Someone told her that she was needed out in the alley. That was the last time she was seen alive. The news clipping I still have says that she was seen getting into a dark colored pickup. Her Mom and Dad went to their grave not knowing who killed their daughter. The case is still unsolved. I see Ordtalk has joined the Chamber. Way to go Ordtalk! I see this as an educational opportunity. Kudos to the Valley Cinema and the Valley county museum. We took our family along with some friends from Farwell and St. Paul to the movie on Saturday night and then went over to the museum for free icecream and a tour. Awesome! The race car outside and the people dressed in costume on the inside made it a very enjoyable and educational experience. Hope it can be repeated someday, but you need more advertising. Cheerleading for the Fire Dept. again, but they deserve it...its a well thought out plan and will stand this community proud. Great Rod Run today is the usual fare put on by the Valley Rods. Weather co-operated too! Great fireworks on the fourth! Flag afterwards really shined. To comment you must be logged in. All comments are property of their respective authors.
