Community Kudos: CommentsI pray for the many sailors who have been victims of pirates at sea. I also pray for the american reporter that was sent to prison in Iran. huskerforlife, good post. I thank them everyday. It was really inspiring what navy has done the past week. I appreciate all of the troops of course. As the end of the school year nears, I would like to say thank you to all the teachers and supporting staff. Also Good bye to Mr. Dennis, thank you for all the years of service, you will be missed. My kids never had Mrs. Dennis as a teacher at St. Mary's but I know alot of kids who did, she to will be missed greatly. I know it was a few weeks ago. But I want to thank those responsible for the kids fair. I would like to give a big "Kudos" to the few posters that picked up on this idea. Makes me feel good to see some positive feelings getting spread around, too. Since this is Week of the Young Child I think "Thanks" need to go out to all those who work with the youngest members of our community. The first 5 years of a child's life is when critical brain development occurs. So often caregivers and Preschool teachers get labeled as "just babysitters." The job they are doing is so important!! After all these young people will someday be dealing with the same kind of issues that have been discussed on here. I think our community is lucky to have the quality early childhood care that is available here. I would like to say thank you to all the students involved in all the different kinds of competitive areas for the way they represented the school. There were times when we saw parents from all over have a tough time with defeat. However I cannot recall any times I saw the kids scream and sneer they accepted their wins with pride and accepted their defeats with integrity. Great job this year!! I would like to say a big Kuddo's for the area churches and especially Ord Bethel Baptist for the warm generousity and welcoming attitude. I would like to say not so much a thank you, but to just say that it makes me proud to see that sportmanship is not dead in professional sports. These players become huge role models for a ton of kids and its nice to see players helping opponents up and just being good people, even if the fights and arguing are all that make the news. Hopefully this is a start to better sportsmanship in all professional sports. I just want to say "thank you" to our community service folks - the Chamber, police dept and Sheriff's dept, fire dept, Ord city folks, Valley County folks.....they have a tough job putting up with everyone sometimes - but they have our community running well. It's always nice to be recognized - so THANKS - let's keep moving forward! Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors. I would like to thank you for bringin' me and my mama together, and also that my kids no longer sound like retarded gang-bangers. To comment you must be logged in. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to all who have been sent overseas to Iraq and to those who have protected our freedom in the past. There is nothing more noble than fighting for those that can't or won't fight for themselves. My prayers are with all of you.
Also, good job of picking the construction crew for the hospital. Whether you agree with building it or not, those boys are moving fast! (Let's hope everything comes out alright in the end!)
