I just talked to my sister again. The doctors have sent Riley home! Incredible!!! He went from PICU to home after major trauma and not even being in the hospital for a week! He is confined to very little activity for 6 months and nothing like sports or playful wrestling after that, so his kidney doesn't split open again. But, his case is such a miracle!!! Everybody is just blown away! I love it that God's showing Himself strong in this! Sooooo cool!!!! Keep praying, though. His mom, Lisa, is a nervous wreck having him home so soon.

PRAYER ANSWERED!! My friend Bill Caswell was able to receive a liver transplant and is now on the mend! For those who don't know Bill (and few here would) he is a songwriter and his list of recording artists starts and Kenny Rogers back in the 70's and gets better from there. One of his best IMHO is "Sweet Allis Chalmers".SWEET ALLIS CHALMERS
God Bless You Bill and Rosie.

Prayers are needed for Tammy Mohrs family. Tammy was killed on Tuesday by kick in the head from a horse. She leaves behind two small boys aged 7 and 9 and her husband. Tammy was the daughter of Donnie and June Holeman of Arcadia and has an older sister Theresa and younger brother Donnel. She lived in Kimball NE.
I have never heard Tammy say a bad word about anyone and she always had a smile on her face even when things got tough. She was only 45 and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Please pray for the Holemans and for the Mohr family, they are going to have a hard time of it for quite awhile. Thanks.

This is from Bonnie Andersons daughter Cindy.
Thank you for all the prayers. Mom came through the surgery and is recovering well at this point. They have to watch her for 10-14 days to make sure the pancreas does not leak. They did find a tumor on her pancreas as well as the bile duct and were not able to remove it all because it has grown into her spinal cord and also around the main artery that feeds her digestive system. They scraped as close as they could but pathology shows that there are still cancer cells in those places as well as in some of her lymph nodes. Therefore, as soon as she is healed from this, they will begin chemo, followed by radiation. We ask for a thank you prayer for God allowing her to survive the surgery and ask for prayers to heal her and guide us and the health care professionals. Would also like prayers for our job schedules that would allow us, as a family, to take care of her in the best way. It is such a comfort to be in the hands of an Almighty, loving Father, whose Son has given us a free ticket to heaven, and whose Spirit guards our faith. We are so thankful for all our your prayers and support.

God bless you all.

Our son Sam is a wonderful young man who is 8 years old. He will be 9 in January. He is going into the 3rd grade in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Sam had been having some pain in his right knee most of this summer (2009). As the pain increased we realized that something might be wrong and we made an appointment for him to see an Orthopedist on 8/10/09. At this doctors appointment an X-ray was done of Sam's leg/knee and it showed that there was a mass that the doctor believed to be cancerous. Samuel went into the hospital just a few days later for a series of tests. He received a cat scan, MRI, and also a full body scan. Our family met with the pediatric oncologist the following day and Samuel was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Osteosarcoma (stage 4). The cancer is in his right knee and it has also spread to both of his lungs. This is an agressive type of cancer and it will be treated with agressive forms of chemo. We are asking everyone to please lift up our litle boy Samuel Gordon Bish in prayer. We pray for healing!! We serve a mighty God and we know that HE can heal Sam if that is his will for Sam's life. Please be prayer warriors along with our family as Sam starts this very difficult journey in his young life.

Today's date is August 16th, 2009 and all this has happened in 6 days. His first appointment was on Monday the 10th and by Friday the 14th he was in the hospital getting his Chemo-port put in his chest and a biopsy done.

I figured if an animated woman walking around the world for cancer can get passed to millions, then so can this story.

PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING TO YOUR CONTACTS IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK!
SAM CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH PRAYERS.
WE PRAY FOR HEALING AND PEACE FOR HIS FAMILY. . .There are also 2 younger sisters.

Prayers for the familys of all involved in the recent arrest of Craig Vogeler. There will be a very large circle of people touched in one way or another by this event be they family, friends or business associates of all the parties concerned. Our county and the communities of North Loup and Ord also need prayer in this time of trouble.

Prayers for our community which is about to tear itself apart once again because a few people want things their way (pick a side, any side). Not that anybody ever reads this page or uses it, but hopefully God is listening...
