21: ...Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22: But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
24: .... I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

28: Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29: And shall come forth...

29: Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

Subject: URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR AMBER

Bette said Amber has infection in her bones. This is very serious, she
will have to have the bones scraped to get the infection out. They aren't
sure where all the infection is. The plastic surgeon says Amber will need
to lay perfectly still for 6 weeks to 2 months.

Amber is in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Please keep Amber and
Russ and Bette in your prayers.

Thank you, Terrill Spencer

Hi, I just got this prayer request for friends in my church. Amber who is
around 45, was in a accident 3 years ago and it left her a quadriplegic.
Her father had a heart attack and hit another women head on in traffic two
days after Ambers accident . He died and the young woman he hit was in
very serious condition. Now this. Bette is Amber's mom and Russ is Amber's
husband. They are in the middle of calving too. Please keep them in
prayer.

Thanks, Susan

Meet At City Hall on National Day of Prayer, 2009

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..." Psalms 33:12

May 1, 2009

Dear Friend,

On May 7, I invite you to participate in Meet At City Hall from 12:20 pm to 12:40 pm during the National Day Of Prayer. At thousands of city halls across the country, individuals will gather to pray for a moral rebirth in our country. The National Day of Prayer is an annual event established by an act of Congress which encourages Americans to pray for our nation, its people and its leaders..

Your participation in Meet At City Hall is very simple. Simply show up at your local city hall at 12:20 pm on May 7. There will be others present. Spend the 20 minutes in prayer.

If you want to help promote Meet At City Hall, we suggest you invite members of your Sunday School class or church to join together and organize, as you desire. You can invite some public officials, local pastors, church choirs, etc. to participate. The amount of organization and promotion is entirely up to you. Let us unashamedly take our Light from underneath the basket and set it on a table.

1. Begin praying now that Meet At City Hall will be blessed by God.
2. Commit now to participate in Meet At City Hall with your presence at your city hall from 12:20 p.m. until 12:40 p.m. on National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 7, 2009.
3. Help promote Meet At City Hall in your local church and community. Download the reproducible flyer and church bulletin insert. Join with others in helping organize and promote Meet At City Hall in your community.
4. Ask clergy in your ministerial association, denomination and other groups to join in organizing and promoting Meet At City Hall in your local community.
5. Begin advertising Meet At City Hall in your church newsletter and bulletin. Please make it an event of importance.
6. Use the appropriate committee or person in your local church to help organize and promote Meet At City Hall. Ask them to work with other churches in your community.
7. Serve as a local coordinator for Meet At City Hall. You can help coordinate Meet At City Hall with other pastors and individuals in your local community.

Sincerely,

Don

Alexandria, our twenty year old granddaughter who lives in Lincoln, had a stroke this past weekend. On Tuesday she was transported by ambulance to the Mayo Hospital in Rockchester, Minn. With her heart condition, the Mayo doctors felt that Mayo was the place for her. Kim called today with an update and Alex is not out of the woods as she has a bleeder in her upper chamber of her heart. She has the best of the best in heart doctors on her case. Please keep Alex and her family in your prayers.

This is from Yvonne Bredhauer. Please keep them in your prayers.

1: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2: In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

My sister, Paula, just called me a little bit ago. She said that her friend, Lisa, was in North Platte with her son and daughter at NebraskaLand Days. Her daughter was competing in some kind of pageant there. Anyway...there was a bad accident involving Lisa's son, Riley, and the horse (a big quarter horse). Riley was kicked in the head and flew up against a concrete wall. He has suffered a lacerated kidney and liver, a punctured lung, a broken hand, and I think a broken leg...and who knows how severe the brain damage was. The storms/tornadoes complicated his transport, but he is on his way to Creighton Hospital in Omaha via ambulance. Lisa is there with him. Her daughter is stranded in North Platte, but I guess the people on the fairgrounds board are taking care of her, their dog, horse and the rest of their stuff. Riley is coming in and out of consciousness and is in general not doing well at all. Please pray for this whole situation...........Thanks, Michelle ...and for those of you who haven't switched to my new email address

Hi everybody! I just got an update on Riley, the boy that got kicked by the horse the other night in North Platte. They were wrong about his liver. It is not lacerated, but is badly bruised. He is no longer yellow, so there is definitely some healing going on there. He does have a punctured lung, but is improving. Doesn't sound like he's on a respirator, but I could be wrong. He has a badly lacerated kidney, that they are treating with great caution. They are trying to stay away from surgery...so far so good. Everybody breathed a hugemungous sigh of relief when they could find no brain injury. Praise God!!! He has one doozy of a goose egg on the back of his head and a nasty bruise, but they can't find any damage to the brain itself. That in itself is a miracle! My sister said that it was not a small wimpy horse that kicked him. I guess his jaw is blackened and swollen. They are suspecting a broken jaw, but can't find it on the test that they did. I don't remember if it was a CAT or an MRI. Riley is in PICU (pediatric intensive care unit) at Creighton University Hospital in Omaha. The doctors are dumbfounded at how well he is doing......I would say God is answering prayers and showing Himself Almighty again! You go, God!!!!!!!!! Whoo Hooo!!!!!!!! Riley still has a lot of healing to do, so please continue the prayers. Also please pray for his mom - I'm pretty sure she's single. Paying for these hospital bills will be no small mountain. We all know that God is capable of paying for those bills....but we have to ask Him first! Of course the family has other mental, emotional, spiritual and physical needs, too. There is another brother and a sister that I know of that are going through this ordeal as well. I think they are teens. Allow the Holy Spirit to direct your prayers. He knows the whole situation. Be blessed for the opportunity that we have to go battle for this family. Luv you guys! Michelle
