I don't think it was enough....Baseball is no longer a pure game, it is all about money by the players. I would be happy to play, if I was younger for 50 grand a year...There are too many pre-madonna's in all sports now, and it is discusting.

tincan - Sunday, May 10 2009 at 6:20am

Well now we have a NASCAR driver suspended because of drugs

Lawman - Sunday, May 10 2009 at 9:57am

Hey, chalk up one for the old guys......Way to go Mark Martin!!!!!!

Lawman - Sunday, May 10 2009 at 10:00am

Yep, Mayfield was suspended indefinitely, as he should be. He says it was because he took an over the counter medication, along with a prescribed medication. Not sure if I believe that. Two crewman from other crews were also suspended. Nascar has one of the toughest drug policies in all of sports. Good for them!!!!

Lawman - Sunday, May 10 2009 at 10:03am

I agree with you, Tincan. Baseball, and all of sports, is all about the money. Watch your Legion kids play baseball, that is one of the last pure games in town. They are out there because they want to be, and are having fun doing it!!!

Duke graduate and basketball star Greg Paulus is holding a 9 a.m. (central time) teleconference on Thursday to announce where he's headed to play college football (and work on an advanced degree).

Paulus is expected to decide between Nebraska and Syracuse.

Why do these kids have have pressers? Why can't they just come out and say where they are going to school?

Could some of you guys who put things on the calendar get in touch with the girls softball people and put up their schedule? I have no idea who they are and its really not my forte. Also had and interest in the little kids game schedules. Hate to put this on you but if you could help that would be great! Thanks! New pictures coming next week and also information about using our one camera to record highlights of any game you care to tape! Thanks again.
