looks like the spring game was a good one. alot of questions answered. I guess the one question I have is will the defence gell? there is alot of talent, if they can only play together. splitting them up between the red and white, it is kinda hard to tell. Washington really turned out to be a good surprise. overall I am happy....

What did you guys think of the race? It was great to see Mark Martin in the winners circle-seeing all those guys come up and congratulate him was so cool. Something about him that I have always liked.

Lawman - Sunday, April 19 2009 at 10:32am

Tincan............yep I thought they sounded pretty good. You are right, Washington was a surprise, and he may be a big help before the season ends. I think the "D" will be good, and the running game, will be great when Helu gets back. I think it will be a good team, not world champs, but would guess they will be a top 25 team.

Jab.........you are right, was great to see Mark win one. Has been a long time. I doubt if that will be the only one he will win this year. (and of course I have him on my fantasy team)..lol

Mark is from the not quite old school of racing...there is alot of respect for him as he is the last of the good guys from the day of old

Lawman - Sunday, April 19 2009 at 10:14pm

Oh no, Awesome Bill is still running a limited schedule. I think he is 52.

Mark Martin is one of the coolest drivers in Nascar, I think. He never loses his posture and stays very cool when he wins. I never see him doing all the cookies like the rest of them always do. He knows it's not a good thing to just waste a good car when you have one. Dale Jr. was up there for a while but as usual he went to the rear at the end again. He is still one of the point leaders but how I don't know. He hasn't won a major one yet this year. The races are always good though no matter who wins them. Good luck to all of them.

Yep, seems like everytime Junior pits, he ends up in last place or close to it.

huskerfan09 - Tuesday, April 21 2009 at 1:30pm

Didn't get to watch the race - had the flu and didn't see much of anything for about 4 days. Over it now...and disappointed I missed it! Martin is one of the great drivers...although I think that he doesn't take the risks that you sometimes need to in order to win. He always seems to play it safe (which isn't necessarily a bad thing...). He is one of the classiest guys out on the track, though.

So Junior had a pit-day like Edwards? Rats to those crews!!

Also glad the Huskers looked well for the red/white. Gives us all something to talk about until fall! :)

huskerfan09 - Wednesday, April 22 2009 at 9:45am

Shake and Bake!!!!

I like to picture Jesus as a figure skater. He wears like a white outfit, and He does interpretive ice dances of my life's journey.

A little help is needed from all you sports fans. We want to put up a calendar on this page of summer sporting events. Can we get some help?

Admin.

tincan - Thursday, April 23 2009 at 11:29pm

Admin,
Are you sure you want a to do that....I think we would all like it, however, we got NASCAR fan, NHRA fans, Twin fans, Royal fans (me). Also then there is NFL and Husker fans that will hav fall practice starting. Then of course there is all the local baseball, softball (I think, don't live in Ord anymore) and what ever else.
Good Luck

tincan, I think all of the above would be great. If we can get it to work it will be an interactive calendar that anyone who wants to put an event on can just click on the day in question and type in the event. At least thats the plan...! Give us a couple of more days and we'll see if we can have it up and running.
