All I know is that today was here last day.

Not heard about a merger, but nothing surprises me in this town.

Has anyone heard about a certain Livestock Market for sale????

First Americans Insurance Services has gone Bankrupt. Saw the Bankruptcy list of creditors. It was quite long...some interesting names on it...

Rumors abond about the Burwell Livestock Market is for sale.

Hold on, it looks like this is going to be a bumpy ride!

Wednesday Jan. 28, 2008 @ 1:30 p.m. the Garfield County Commissioners meeting at the Courthouse...

Wonder what will happen this time???

I urge everyone to go to this meeting. It's eye opening.

Has anyone seen the new Tourism brochure???

It's another ill fated partnership with Ord. Don't like that they do that!

We have enough going for us, we don't need to get mixed up in Ord's doings...

Wonder how much they are asking for the Burwell Livestock Market? Anyone know the amount?

ifas - Friday, January 30 2009 at 7:51pm

Possibly $2 million...

Maybe Matt Lowery will buy it?

Wonder how Terry DeGroff came out? Smelling like I rose I am sure!!

I have heard rumors that the City of Burwell officials are watching us..

Imagine that....

wonder where that came from and what they are thinking?

All we have to fear, is fear itself....

Didn't FDR say that?

I would like to know why our Mayor wanted to change the time of the City Council Meeting to the middle of the day?

That doesn't look very good. Like maybe he doesn't want a whole lot of people there.

Wonder why that is.

How about the city council meeting minutes in the paper. I noticed that the city paid about $596 in unemployment for our EX E.D.

Hope she knows that since she got that 2 months back pay when she was fired (who ever heard of such nonsense? GOOD GOING NEW CITY COUNSEL! BOY are you WISE), she will have to pay that unemployment back..

ifas, record your city council meetings, download them on your computer and send them to us at Ordtalk. We will put them in as an audio file and everyone can listen in. Put them on video and we'll youtube the highpoints. Just a suggestion!

Looks like the city counsel is revisiting the L street project.

Talk about beating a dead horse.

OH YEA, and President Obama will help pay for it...The only economic stimulus bail out Burwell needs is for a select few to be run out of town...we already got rid of one bad apple. How about taking on the rest? Let's start at the top and work our way down..

Look out Burwell, They might have you in on this consolidating police forces since they have to call you in every time something happens in Ord anyhow.

huskerfan81 - Monday, March 23 2009 at 4:49pm

Yes, they were here.............I wrote that article up. The site admin must have removed them after they approved them. Pass on what you remember people.

Just a note, Everything is "Approved" the minute you hit that enter key. My job is to keep it clean and head off any trips to the laywers office. Bear in mind, once you've said it, its out there. I may catch it later on and decide that it steps over the line of slander and libel, but over 1200 individual users log onto this site everyday and you can bet somebody read it. I can make it go away, but it will never disappear. I do NOT like having to delete comments, but I'd rather delete one than have a member of this blog regret something he or she said later on. You guys do a fantastic job of policing yourselves, keep up the good work and just take it a little easy out there.

Admin.
