The Bureau of Vital Statistics has recorded a certificate of a brain dead individual from Ord. The certificate of this brain dead individual bears the name of "Shakes" maybe he/she/it should stick to curling hair...

I opened a new box of crayons for you yesterday, shakes. Even though they are now down to nubs, I will try to help you as I do believe the needy should be helped. First off "dumb@ss" is spelled with two ss,not asa. Second, this one-sided intellegent discussion began with my comment about the GOOD POSITIVE ARTICLE that Caleb had written, (Note the word POSITIVE!)referencing another comment on the city census, population decline, etc. You then attempted to engage yourself in responding referencing young couples and their "family plans". A notable point was brought forth by me that these young families that are planning on a family (having children) will have to plan on delivery some place other than Ord, Valley County. (Note the opportive word here "PLAN".) Somewhere withing the misty boundaries of your mind, you have determined that these words have a negative connotation and were not positive even though the word positive was utilized. The point that you now claim that you were trying to make is what Caleb's article was all about in the first place, (remember me referencing the positive article.) No shakes, I didn't miss the point, I was the one that brought it up.

Blondbuck, I am not very good at Chinese puzzles. I am having a very difficult time with the coherency of your three posts other than your opinion is that I stir the pot in the wrong direction. Honestly, I did not know that there was a correct direction in stirring the pot. Hopefully, soon someone will correct my sense of direction.

KNLV article - "Broken Bow Bond Issue Defeated", for the second time. Opponents cited we shouldn't be raising taxes in a recession. It seems there are some highly intelligent people in the Broken Bow School District. Broken Bow is looking pretty attractive holding taxes down, no corrupt mayor or utilities superintendent, with a competent city attorney, a privately owned hospital with no excommunication (great description rock)of 2/3 of it's population from hospital services, and no Boss Hog. Further population decline in Ord and a population increase in Broken Bow? Young couples can PLAN on having their children in the same town they live in too, what a great positive concept!

burgerboy - Wednesday, August 11 2010 at 11:23pm

One of the things that brought my family to Ord was affordable housing. What keeps me in Ord? It is a lot safer then GI. What is the root cause of the decline of population in Ord?

I really think Ord has potential to slow the trend of declining population. Risk-taking is a natural part of life.

Shakes - Thursday, August 12 2010 at 9:46am

Rock - In case you forgot how to read phonetically, it was "dumb-as-a-rock." If you're going to correct people on spelling, don't turn around and spell "operative" so poorly. So according to you, this is just a misunderstanding and you are extremely positive about young people coming back to Ord? If this is the case, then why saddle that opinion along with your negative feelings about the local government and the hospital? As far as your "positive" comment about Pollard's article, maybe you should leave out that "however" part that in any INTELLIGENT person's mind negates any positive comment you made. It's like telling someone, "No offense, but you're an idiot." Just because you say "no offense," doesn't make the "idiot" part any less insulting.

Last question for you rock, and please if you can wrap your mind around what a "Yes/No" question is, answer accordingly: Do you think it is encouraging to see young people (mostly Ord natives) moving to Ord and starting families at a higher rate than they have in recent history? Remember: Yes/No!

Ord Quiz, August 4th, page 3A, "New Blood in Valley County"

A good positive article by Caleb Polard, however some of this economic development went to a privileged few praticing patrimonilism, nepotism, cronyism and outright theft that is embedded within the city government. Once we eliminate the privileged cronyism that is embedded in the city government we would have a real true positive outlook for the future.

Shakes are you slow, simple or stupid? Crash is correct you're an idiot. Why is it you can't understand English when it was said, "A good positive article"? This has been pointed out to you several times. The rest of the comment "however" was a true observation. Your comparison to what was said and to what you compared, "No offense, but you're an idot" is inept formulated in an idot's mind. Reading your posts, the only misunderstanding was on your part. If you think rock is alone in his negative feelings about thieves in local government and these brain dead run off anyone who disagrees with the hospital board then you are even more of an idiot than I first thought.

Maybe you should go to KUDOS page for warm, fuzzy POSITIVE feelings. This is the VIRAL VENT page for a reason.

tincan - Friday, August 13 2010 at 12:06am

shakes are you an obama demacrat? A part of the chicago machine? the way you call people name, you sound like reede or polosi

sting - Friday, August 13 2010 at 12:23am

Wow! It looks like irish one got fed up with the bs.

Shakes before you open your mouth again here's a piece of friendly advice for the next article that rock's done on city government. You may have a better grip on the words "...patrimonilism, nepotism, cronyism and outright theft that is embedded within the city government." There again all this maybe ok with you since you were apart of the PMS dream team defense. Get ready they're going to need more defending.

tincan - I think slobbering liberal is a good term too.

rock - Friday, August 13 2010 at 2:23am

Shakes go back and read Caleb Polard's orginal article. The one I referred to as a good positive article. There you will find my yes or no answer that you are seeking.

Shakes - Friday, August 13 2010 at 9:24am

This is hilarious! Because I disagree with the staunch position that you geniuses have taken that everyone in public office is crooked, I absolutely must be an Obama supporter! Think about this for a second: Obama is all about spreading the wealth in this country and what are you all doing? Complaining that some people in this town are TOO SUCCESSFUL so they must be thieves taking away from the poor! So really, who looks more like an Obama supporter; someone like me who says let the successful be successful, or you all who think they must be taking away from the "little guy" and that we need to run them out so that the "little guy" can flourish?

How about instead of saying "whoa is me" and complaining about being on the outside looking in, work harder to become more successful and you might get the respect you THINK you deserve.

On your last comment rock, you still missed the point that I made in my last comment: You are saddling your "positive" feelings about the article with your huge "but" where you rant about conspiracy and theft of the same organizations that were responsible for that article.

As for me, I think I'll stop giving you idiots a target on this site and let you cannabalize each other! Momma always said, "Don't argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." Must be A LOT of experience with you people!

sting - Friday, August 13 2010 at 3:51pm

Let me get this straight...
Shakes likes the comment about the good positive article. Shakes thinks we should only look at the positive and ignore the theft. We should call this cronyism and theft being successful. Along with Caleb's good positive article and rock's comments at the end that were positive too,we should have a real true positive outlook...(according to Shakes).

rocks next article will be up and running on Monday. I will also post links to the previous two so you don't have to skip back and forth in the archives to play catchup. In the meantime...check out the Tea Party Website from Grand Island. They are the Nebraska Militia, the Minute Men, the 9-12 Project and the Nebraska Tea Party movement. Good site, hope it works out for them.

Shakes, I don't know you and you don't know me. If you noticed, I didn't call you and idiot. But you sure seem to like to call others idiots, and I wonder if you know any of them...It seems to me that you think you are a very smart person and the all us others are not to smart. I compared you to the dems because they don't think us small people know anything either. Well alot of us small people know one hell of alot, maybe even more then you. When names start getting called then in my case, I just love to agrivate the person calling the names.

Yes, I know my spelling is not to good, so you can hammer me about that, feal free.
Have a good day.

OrdFF - Saturday, August 14 2010 at 8:41am

Let me get this straight...Tincan has no idea who Shakes is yet Tincan jumped on the bandwagon with Rock, Sting and others when they accussed Shakes of Drug use?

rock - Saturday, August 14 2010 at 11:51am

Sting, hopefully your analogy and interpretation of Shake's posts will make everything wonderful in Shakeyland. Then we will not be subjected to anymore WAH! WAH! WAH!

OrdFF, I don't recall any reference that Tincan has made about Shakes and drug use. I have never accused Shakes of drug use. Comments have been made in reference to substance abuse therapy. We have been through this before. There is a difference. Also something to consider, Sting may know something in reference to Shakes.

falcon - Saturday, August 14 2010 at 1:38pm

Shakes,

Don't know if anyone is really talking about people being too successful, it is complaining about becoming successful at the expense of John Q public with the jobs that they get from patrimonilism, nepotism, and cronyism. Also using city equipment for personal use.

Success is a term loosely used. It depends on ones defination of "Success". I would guess that most posting on here are successful in the trade thay have chosen. If you are talking about success as to how much money one has, there may even be some here that have a lot of money. They just don't like having someone else taking their money out of their pockets by passing bonds that are unrealistic for some to pay. As far as your politics, you may be Republican, or you may be Democrat but until politics hits you in the face or in the pocket book personally, you can talk out both sides of your mouth. You may be one that speaks of ones philosophy but goes with the flow when pressured, depends who you are with. Some call that wishy washy. It takes a real person to think for themself and stand up for what they believe. Shouldn't have to be looking over your shoulder to see what the person behind you or next to you is thinking.

sweetpea - Saturday, August 14 2010 at 3:36pm

I can't sit this one out. I am so mad; if I knew for sure who shakes was I would slap the cr@p out of it. Shakes accuses rock of misunderstanding. It doesn't believe rock is extremely positive about young people coming back to Ord. It wants only positive comments and positive actions that only shakes will recognize with a simple yes or no. Who are you to judge someone else?

Check this out shakes, rock posts:
"rock - Saturday, July 17 2010 at 3:02pm
This past week I delivered to Council Member Roger Goldfish a petition bearing 39 signatures of residents from the east side of town, between 14th and 7th Streets on P, Q, R and S Streets requesting reduced posted speed limits and stop signs at intersections. Recently we have had 2 near misses of children nearly getting hit by high speed traffic. We have 3 daycares in this area. When the children are taken out for walks they have to walk in the street due to lack of sidewalks. This is also true for our senior citizens taking walks, with additional foot traffic and bicycle traffic to MNIS for our special folks. These streets are carrying heavy volumes of traffic, to include trucks many of them at high speeds to the Loup Valley REA, county yards, bus barns, Nebraska Central Railroad, etc. We also have several young families with children that have recently moved into this area. This petition is an attempt to be proactive before an accident occurs, rather than reactive after a tragedy."

It looks to me, rock is not only positive about Ord natives moving back, but ALL young people moving here. He's doing something to protect the young people and their families. Here's another tidbit for you, shakey. Rock walked door to door over several days in 90 degrees and add heat index to collect those signatures. Shakes you really make me sick. All you do is run your mouth criticizing everyone else, look in the mirror buddy.
