steffan - Last time I checked, I wasn't trying to get anything CHANGED by those past comments. Just "venting" about the service in town. Thought that was allowed here? Where was you "friendly and positive" when you sued the school instead of accepting an apology? Or when you campaigned on saying the board were a bunch of liars, crooks, and sign thieves (with no proof)? How about when you jumped Marty Petska about calling you on the lawsuit and how much it cost? (saw the reciepts for that one and he was pretty dead on even though you said he lied).

My comment was directed towards being positive to bring about change in PUBLIC forums (boards, planning, etc.) not on a "Viral" complainer's forum like this that really doesn't affect any change whatsoever (probably because it's so negative, most people who are trying for change don't bother with it!). By the way, why exactly did she stop working at Pizza Hut?

So there's my piece, keep digging to find more things in the far gone past to bring up again. I'm sure you'll have something to say about the signs again, too. Should I send you some of my high school report cards? I'm sure you could find something in there to go after me for!

Hang in there buddy, eventually if you dig down deep enough you will come out on the other side.

Funny how shakes tries to take the high road after he gets his foot in his mouth. Funny how shakes wants to keep diverting attention from the Markowski Affair. What's up with that?

No shakes, I am not sure the aspirin was not because of me. There is one sure way to keep me from going to the city board. Mayor O'Brien provides the leadership to the City of Ord that they deserve. Had I had some slight inclination that Mayor O'Brien was going to address this issue, rather than just ignore it and let business go on as usual I would not have bothered.

Your comment,..."move on with this in the back of the council's mind," is business as usual. That is not exceptable. If this issue is going to be addressed as business as usual, then Mayor O'Brien is going to need a bigger bottle of asprin.

Only within the boundaries of shake's mind could one find that I said,..."you are trying to justify being a bad neighbor by saying he deserves it." (Quote by shakes) In the light of reality, where most of us live...I never said any such thing.

Shakes

You say there's trash posted on Ord Talk, but you keep reading and posting (your version of trash). You use this site to trash people by calling them names like pipsqueak, while using their given name. A very brave person or whatever you are shakes. Shakes says he's not a Markowski supporter in this case. That's really hard to distinguish with your ramblings. Shakes, the Markowski Affair isn't in the far gone past! It's in the present time even though you, Markowski and the mayor would like it to be in the far gone past.

Shakes substance abuse counciling will help you with your issues.

Be sure to read the home page update: Guy Brock's response to Paul Markowski.

How can AM with KNLV get the story so wrong? I looked for him in the video and didn't see him there. I didn't hear PMS say that those trees were trimmed at Eghill's request. On the video PMS says he had some dead branches on his property, so he decided to have them come down to remove them.

05alum - Friday, May 7 2010 at 10:21pm

sweetpea,

He does say he trims the tree per Mr. Edghill's request. He says that he was picking up branches at his property, and noticed some 18-20 feet branches growing up from the middle of the tree, which he told Mr. Edghill that he could have the city come remove them for him. He also said he would let them back across his property etc...etc...

ordneb - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 8:53am

05alum,

There you go again, trying to confront these people with truth and sensibility. Here's some more truth for you. The real reason Rock never runs for an office is to avoid the embarrassment and public humiliation of only receiving the five or ten votes from his cronies on this blog.

Shakes - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 11:32am

Steffan - Thanks for the encouragement! Can I use your shovel? It seems to have done pretty well for you in the past!

rock - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 12:52pm

05 alum, Please go back and listen to the tape again. I believe you will find your answers. What Markowski said was the branch was 12 to 18 in. tree limb (holding his hands up in a circle), 20 to 25 feet in the air. This is the branch towards his house that Markowski talks about cutting back to the tree (that if it had broken it could have hit his house). This is the 3rd tree from the NORTH as described by Markowski. The power line runs between the 1st and 2nd trees. Take a look at the 1103 G Street property and the 1105 G Street property, like the mayor did and I am sure you will come up with the same statement as he said to me the tree trimming did not involve any power lines, just a telephone line. The mayor added the city has nothing to do with the telephone lines. The tree trimming for 1105 G Street (Edghill) was done 1 year before at Mr. Edghill's request Markowski stated. Finding City of Ord on the trucks is a moot point, since Markowski admitted he sent the crews down there after picking up dead limbs on a Saturday. Markowski attempted to cloud the tree trimming of his property this year by saying he was requested by Mr. Edghill to trim the trees from the power lines (which both the request, and Mr. Edghill's job was perfomed last year, NOT this year). There is no evidence to support Markowski's claim. Whoever the utilities superintendent was calling a low life, Chief of Police or the new owner of the M Street property; this is an unprofessional way to act, and was prompted by Markowski having to pay $200 for this garage shed (that he removed from the property) or the police investigation. When did this incident occur, I don't know. More importantly, what equipment was used to move the building?

rock - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 1:03pm

The Bohemuth School Tour Bus came down Q (not O) Street yesterday afternoon about 3:30 - 4:00 o'clock hitting the overhanging trees between 10th & 11th. When sufficient damage occurs to the mega bucks bus, what tax payers money will be used to repair or replace the bus? School district money or the city's? As I have previously asked if Superintendent Markowski is done trimming the trees at his rental income producing property, could the mayor and the city council consider directing Superintendent Markowski to trim the overhanging trees on Q Street (not O) between 10th & 11th and between Q (not O) and P Streets.

Better yet remove the trees, in my view these trees are on the city right of way.

rock - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 1:10pm

and tincan thought that everything was quiet on the western front...

05alum - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 2:32pm

Rock,

I have watched the video 3 times. Paul talks about the 12-18 foot branches that they broke off with there hands AND while they were up in the air he talks about cutting one back to the trunk that was towards his house. The one towards his house is not the 12-18 feet dead branch that he talks about breaking the power line. Please do not tell me to go back and watch the tape again when I am not the one that isn't getting the correct information. In fact if you listen at 4:07 he talks about when he noticed the 12-18 foot branches in the MIDDLE of the tree, then at 4:43 he says that while they were up in the air they cut one off that was towards his house, then at 5:15 he is talking about the dead wood in the middle of the tree again.

As for the moot point, I wasn't talking about tree trimming there. I was talking about your photographs of the snow removing and the dirt work. How do you know that this equipment is city-owned?

As for the low-life comment, are you saying that if someone told your wife to go any time and pick up a building, which you then carry out, and then threatened with charges, that you wouldn't be a little angry and even a little "unprofessional?"

ordneb - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 3:32pm

Rock???????????

Unprofessional?????????????

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

rock - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 7:54pm

05alum, Ok...I won't refer you back to the tape since you have watched it three times. To quote Markowski beginning at 3:59, "I was down there picking up limbs on a Saturday. I looked up into the trees there...and there was big...12 by...12 to 18 inch tree limbs growing up in the middle of the tree. If you go down there it's the 3rd tree from the north." Quote ending at 4:16.

I clearly heard the word inches...not feet. Admittedly, I am getting older, I may not hear as well as I used to, but I am sure that the word inches is spoken as opposed to feet. The difference is being significant in units of measurement. Since we are hearing two different units of measure any further discussion is also likely to differ.

Your statement, my photographs is an assumption on your part, and is in error. As I have previously stated, I have not taken any photos for any reason in Ord. The photos were taken by the witness that identified Markowski as the operator with the city equipment.

As for the low life comment the point you have made here is well made and taken. Honestly between you and I...I may have been more indignant with myself for not talking with the owner of the building myself just prior to the building removal (since two weeks had past as stated at 4:48), to be sure all were still on the same page. Evidently at some point in time someone had different thoughts causing a police investigation and Markowski $200, and person(s) being described as low life. The question still must be asked, what equipment was used and whose ownership of that equipment was used?

tincan - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 8:23pm

Rock,

Guess it is getting a little heated up here. Oh, life in the small towns.
Rock, if you ran for office I do beleave you would get more then 10 votes.
I know at least ten people there that would vote for you. Have a nice day...

sting - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 10:18pm

Isn't it time for an audit of the city books by the attorney general or the state auditor to check out how the rest of our money is being spent? Why is the clerk making special phone calls to private land owners about who's looking for properties, rather than selling city property. I think this cronyism goes deeper then anyone thinks.

rock - Saturday, May 8 2010 at 10:31pm

Great to hear form you, tincan.
